2. Structure of LCD1602 liquid crystal display module
LCD1602 liquid crystal display module consists of two parts: LCD screen and control circuit. The LCD screen is composed of 1602 pixels, and each pixel consists of a liquid crystal unit and a drive circuit. The control circuit is responsible for converting external input data and instructions into liquid crystal display.
The LCD screen consists of two glass substrates, with liquid crystal material coated in the middle and electrodes. The electrodes on one of the glass substrates are arranged horizontally, and the electrodes on the other glass substrate are arranged vertically. Two glass substrates are separated by a gap to form a liquid crystal layer. This arrangement is called TN (Twisted nematic) structure.
The circuit consists of a microcontroller, driver, power supply and connecting lines. The microcontroller is used to control the overall work of the LCD module, and the driver is responsible for converting the signal sent by the microcontroller into the actual status of the TFT LCD module control screen, and further controlling the arrangement status of the LCD module. The power supply provides the power required for the operation of the LCD module.
3. Working principle of LCD1602 liquid crystal display module
The display principle of LCD1602 liquid crystal display module is based on the influence of voltage on liquid crystal. By applying a voltage to the LCD screen, a result can be established on the LCD screen, thereby changing the arrangement of molecules on the LCD screen, thereby realizing the display of pixels.
The work of the LCD module can be divided into two stages, namely writing mode and display mode.
