What factors need to be considered when designing a small color LCD display? part two

Battery-powered products require optimized LED driver circuit architectures that address multiple challenges such as space constraints, the need for high energy efficiency, and battery voltage variations that may be higher or lower than the LED's forward voltage. There are two commonly used topologies, namely the charge pump architecture/constant current source architecture in which LEDs are configured in parallel and the inductor boost architecture in which LEDs are configured in series. Both solutions have trade-offs that need to be considered, such as a boost architecture that ensures the same amount of current flows through all custom LEDs but requires an inductor for energy conversion, while a charge pump architecture uses small capacitors for energy conversion, but all LEDs are connected in parallel The arrangement is so tight that current matching becomes a thorny issue in balancing the backlight.
