Analysis of causes of flickering on LCD display part one
Dec 26, 2023
Speaking of LCD screen flickering, we have to mention the CRT screen, the previous generation of LCD screen. When comparing CRT and LCD displays, one of the most commonly seen differences is the flicker problem. It is generally believed that CRT displays flicker, while LCDs do not. It is found that both types of displays flicker to a certain extent. The differences in mechanisms and correction methods affect the success rate. This article explains the causes of flickering on customized TFT LCD displays.
1. The refresh rate is incorrect
Many LCD monitors require a standard 60 Hz refresh rate, but in fact many monitors can only avoid phase problems at 75 Hz. But some monitors are just the opposite, and users are advised to try different settings on their own. But remember, you only have 60 and 75 Hz to choose from, never exceed this limit.
2. Monitor aging
Sometimes due to the old age of the LCD display used, there will be jitter. In order to check whether the electronic components inside the monitor are aging, you can connect the faulty monitor to someone else's computer for testing. If the fault still disappears, it means that the monitor is broken and needs to be repaired.
